Autumn Update


Autumn has arrived!

It has been a month since I released the first version of "Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot". Back then I had been working on the game for about 4 months and started to lose motivation. So I just decided to put a somewhat playable version of the game on itch and made a few posts about it on reddit. In the first 24 hours, the game received over 1000 plays and overwhelmingly positive feedback! Driven by the support of my players, I continued the development and I think the game has made quite some progress from its initial release.

As of the writing of this article, the game got literally OVER 9000 plays!

With this major update I hope to address most of the issues my players brought forth:

Patch 29.09.2022:

*New Features*
- Added autosell feature: If activated, recruit gear will automatically be sold on unequip.
- You can now switch back and forth between event phase and battle preparation phase.
- Added new item(s): 
  - Benediction: Holy Staff (2H) - Ultimate: Last Prayer
- Added new ultimate(s):
  - Last Prayer (Mana 300): If an ally falls below 20% health, instantly removes all debuffs and restores all health. Starts with full mana.
  - Execute (Mana 100): Deal 1.5x damage and cause bleeding. Causes instant death if the target is below 20% health.
- Added Bleeding debuff: reduces healing by 75%.

*Changes*
- Holy Staff basic attack will now always target the lowest ally.
- Changed the way dexterity affects attack speed: Each point of DEX increases attack speed by 0.01.
- Adjusted base attack speed for most weapons.
- Axe Throw (Dwarven Dual Axe) now also adds the Bleeding debuff to the target.
- Improved stats of Battle Axe and added "Execute" as ultimate.
- Reduced stats of Cleaver (Orc) and added "Execute" as ultimate.
- Slightly lowered enemy numbers below battle 50. Increased enemy numbers after battle 50+.
- Updated the battle announcement system to clearer reflect what is happening.
- Parts of the UI have been updated.
- Changed background to autumn version.

*Bug Fixes*
- Fixed a bug where dexterity would not correctly affect attack speed of mages.
